Celine gets the highest honor at the World Music Award - Nov 06, 2007
Celine Dion received the most important accolade at the World Music Award. The Canadian-born songstress was prized with the Legend Award at a gala in Monte Carlo on Sunday night. When presenting the award, Prince Albert II described Dion's voice as "soothes the world's hearts and creates smiles of love across the face of the world." Dion dedicated the trophy to her family, saying, "every time I go on stage, it's all of them going on stage with me." Pattie LaBelle was also honor for her contribution to R&B. Avril Lavigne, Mika, Rihanna, Laura Pausini and Mana also hit the stage.
